This wooden comb used by ladies, has been encased in silver and ecorated with tinkling bells.
Combs such as these, after being used for the function of combing, were then planted in
an appropriate part of the plait or bun as a decorative piece.
Up until fifty years ago, long hair was a part of a woman's beauty in India.
